A large, high-resolution LED-backlit IPS display. An incredibly responsive Multi-Touch screen. And an amazingly powerful Apple-designed chip. All in a design that’s thin and light enough to take anywhere. iPad isn’t just the best device of its kind. It’s a whole new kind of device.

All of the built-in apps on iPad were designed from the ground up to take advantage of the large Multi-Touch screen and advanced capabilities of iPad. And they work in any orientation. So you can do things with these apps that you can’t do on any other device.
The Multi-Touch screen on iPad is based on the same revolutionary technology on iPhone. But the technology has been completely reengineered for the larger iPad surface, making it extremely precise and responsive. So whether you’re zooming in on a map, flicking through your photos, or deleting an email, iPad responds with incredible accuracy. And it does just what you want it to.

iPad2 replaces a Document Camera!
I was trying to hook up a document camera in a room. The power strip was too far away and the teacher didn't want me to disconnect her projector because it just had one RGB connection.

Then I thought would my iPad 2 work?  I downloaded a free app- adobe ideas and was able to take a picture and write over the page. I could have just used the camera but would have had to write on the paper ( unless I put an overhead sheet on it)

This was so much easier- just had to hook up to laptop. A cheap stand could be made to support the iPad.

Elmo reader= $700+
iPad $499

Sad thing is we just bought 5 elmos..

Thought I would share this.
